Bethel Hills is an inclusive community where people of all abilities thrive together, are connected, and have abundant opportunities. They are developing Phase 1 of 3 phases that will eventually house 70-80 residents. Currently, they house approximately 15 residents. Bethel Hills is located at 10450 Voelkerding Rd, Dutzow, MO.
For this Mission Trip will be working on housing, gardening, and facility projects on their 127 acres of beautiful land. There is always lots of cleaning to be done as well. There is a job for everyone regardless of physical ability or skill level. Everyone is welcome. One-day-only volunteers are welcome on both Friday and Saturday. Friday registration check-in is at 1:00 pm for a half-day of work. Saturday registration and check-in are at 9:00 am for a full day of work. Once again, youth are welcome to make this a fun overnight experience with a campfire worship service and activities on Friday evening.
To work, please wear appropriate work clothing for the weather that day. Work gloves are also recommended, although not required. A few items will be available on-site.
On Friday evening, for those staying overnight, participants will then be joined by the staff and residents of Bethel Hills for dinner. You will get to meet some of the residents that we are working for and hear the faith journey that has created Bethel Hills.
After dinner, we will have a campfire worship service complete with guitars and singing that everyone will enjoy. Weather permitting. Otherwise, it will be in the gymnasium.
Youth and vetted chaperons can spend the night, which will include an evening of energetic activities and games in the gymnasium. Girls will be staying in the hostel section of the event center and the boys will be staying in the locker room section of the gymnasium. Sleeping bags will be required for everyone.
