DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP ON MINISTRY TEAMS
Leaders are nominated and elected to each of the four Ministry Teams resulting in 25 leader positions plus 5 extra members for each of the three ministry team commissions. The total number of positions is then 40 across the four ministry teams. (The Permanent Judicial Commission and the Committee on Representation/Nominating have their own members as well.) The positions are comprised of a moderator and a number of team leaders that are unique to each particular Ministry Team.
Each Ministry Team will have multiple leaders who establish their own sub-team structure to accomplish the responsibilities entrusted to them. (Commissions and the Committee on Representation/Nominating are an exception to this structure and they are described in the next section. In the diagram, commissions and fully elected committees are denoted with a dotted outline.) To be clear, election of a person to one of these Leader positions gives them the freedom to assemble their own sub-team as they see fit for the responsibilities of their position. They can create a small or large sub-team to accomplish the task. We want to tap into the creativity and innovation of our Presbytery members for these tasks. It is important to note that all committees, commissions, and teams will be as diverse as possible and under the care of Committee on Representation/Nomination in that manner.
